  • About Team Quantum

We are Team Quantum, FRC Team 6213, a community team centered in Duval High School who’s part of the annual FIRST Robotics Competition. Founded in 2016, we took up the mantle of FRC in our area. We represent a diverse community of various colors, shades, backgrounds, and incomes. STEM education often takes a backseat in minority-dominated communities such as our own. Our mission is to become a platform for underrepresented and disadvantaged voices in STEM.

    About DuVal High School

DuVal High School is a comprehensive science and technology magnet high school in Lanham, Maryland.  About 91% of its students are in minority groups, and 48% of its students are female.  DuVal High School is the home of the Academy of Aerospace Engineering and Aviation Technology (AEAT).  AEAT began as part of an ongoing effort by Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) to prepare students for post-secondary success and expose them to STEM-related career fields. Five-and-a-half years later, the program remains a critically important component of the county’s Secondary School Reform initiative.
